Statement Savings

  • The Minimum Deposit to open a Statement Savings account is $50.

  • The Minimum Balance requirement is $50 to avoid a $5.00 Monthly Balance Requirement Fee

  • $10.00 early closure fee if account is closed within 90 days after opening

Children's Savings

  • $10.00 Minimum Deposit to Open a Children’s Savings Account

  • Maintain $1.00 Minimum Daily Balance to obtain the disclosed Annual Percentage Yield (APY)

  • Withdrawal Limitations (6 per cycle) withdrawal fee of $0.50 each after 6 per cycle limit

Christmas Club

Make Christmas Enjoyable!

  • $2.00 Minimum Deposit to Open a Christmas Club

  • Deposits begin the first Friday in November

  • Deposits end on the third Friday of October the following year.

  • One withdrawal permitted on the account

  • Early closure fee of $10.00 is assessed if the account is closed prior to the third Friday of October.

  • Earn Interest* on the daily collected balance, compounded quarterly and credited quarterly at the current savings rate.

* The interest rate and Annual Percentage Yield (APY) is subject to change. Interest begins to accrue no later than the business day First State Bank receives credit for the deposit of non-cash items (checks). The Daily Balance Method: This method applies a daily periodic rate to the principal in the account each day. Interest will be compounded and credited quarterly on Savings Accounts. Accrued Interest on the account will be paid monthly and at account closing.

(A) If the account balance falls below the minimum daily balance requirement to avoid a service charge anytime during the statement cycle, the interest rate and the annual percentage yield will be reduced.*

(B) First State Bank may require no less than seven (7) days notice in writing before each withdrawal from an interest bearing account other than a time deposit, or from any other savings account as defined by Regulation D.

(C) Any First State Bank Checking or Savings Account may be arranged to sweep to avoid service charge fees or insufficient / overdraft funds charges at no cost!

(D) Dormant Accounts: An account is dormant if deposits or withdrawals have not been made for one year, and First State Bank has not received any communication from the customer about any accounts, or the account statements are returned for an incorrect address. The dormant account fee is $5.00 per quarter for savings accounts and $5.00 per month for checking accounts.
